Toxco's Concept For Metal And Material Reclamation

Toxco’s recycling concept is to identify non-contaminated materials and equipment and sell these materials to the steel recycling industry or the equipment for reuse.  The revenue received from sale of this material is used to offset recovery (e.g. survey and processing) cost as well as generate profit for Toxco.  Utilizing this recovery and reclamation process serves to reduce the cost of projects with the injection of a revenue stream.

Environment, Safety and Health

TMMC adheres to Industrial Occupational Safety & Health requirements and regulations governing this industry.   Environmental controls are a part of all operations and work plans at TMMC

Quality Assurance

TMMC operates under a ASME-NQA-1-2004 Quality Assurance Plan.

Security

Toxco MMC has recently been found in fill compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operations Manual and Department of Energy directives. As a result, the facility has been awarded a Government facility clearance, allowing the Company to work with sensitive materials.

Licensing And Oversight

• Toxco has a Radiological Materials License in the state of Tennessee.  Toxco is agreeable to using reciprocity to move or utilize these license where needed for a particular project.  This would involve any work performed off of the TMMC site.
• Toxco has an approved Radiological Protection Program with the DOE allowing us to perform work with radioactive materials on a DOE site.

Radioactive Material Waste Disposal

Toxco has the ability and contracts in place to dispose of most radioactive materials and waste.  TMMC Radioactive Material License will define what can and can not be accepted at TMMC for final disposal at a proper regulated disposal facility.

Bulk Survey For Release

Toxco can survey and release bulk materials in their original shipping package for conditional release to Class I industrial landfills which avoids the costly burial of this material as radioactive waste.

Green Is Clean Program

Under this program, TMMC can accept materials and equipment for radiological survey and decontamination if necessary resulting in the unconditional free release of the item from all radiological regulatory control.  Some radiological waste may be generated but will be disposed of in accordance with appropriate regulations.

Field Services

Toxco has strategic alliances with companies that can perform radiological work at the client’s facility.  This would be work that would be required prior to shipping radioactive or hazardous materials from a client’s facility to TMMC.
